This Privacy Policy applies to Dotsin web, mobile, and Chrome extension services, collectively referred to as the "Services."

Where consent is required, Dotsin presents an appropriate notice and requests affirmative consent before collecting or processing the relevant information. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not provide the requested information or use the affected feature.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on the features you use and the permissions you choose to grant.

1.1 Account Information

When you create or access an account, we may collect:

• Account identifiers
• Authentication information

If you choose to sign in using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In, Dotsin may receive your name, email address, profile image, and account identifier as authorized by you and supported by the relevant sign-in service.

1.2 Location Information

Foreground location: With your permission, Dotsin may access location information while the application is actively being used. Location information may be used for movement analysis, activity insights, environmental context, personalized wellness experiences, and functionality requested by you.

Background location: If explicitly enabled, Dotsin may access location information while the application is running in the background. Background location is collected only after you grant the required permission.

Background location may be used to:

• Maintain continuity of movement analysis
• Reduce gaps in activity tracking
• Improve wellness and behavioral insights
• Support application functionality requested by you

Location permissions are optional and may be revoked through your device settings at any time.

1.3 Health and Wellness Information

With your explicit consent, Dotsin may access health and wellness information through supported health platforms, including:

• Apple Health
• Health Connect
• Google Fit
• Other wellness integrations authorized by you

Examples of health and wellness information may include:

• Steps

• Walking activity

• Distance traveled

• Sleep information

• Exercise information

• Heart-rate information

• Recovery metrics

• Wellness indicators

Health and wellness information is used solely to provide functionality, analytics, summaries, and insights requested by you. It is treated as sensitive information and is subject to enhanced access controls and security protections.

Health and wellness information is not sold, is not used for advertising, marketing, or data-brokerage purposes, and is not shared with third-party AI tools, models, or AI services.

1.4 Device Usage and Digital Activity Information

Where permitted by the operating system and authorized by you, Dotsin may collect:

• Application usage duration
• Screen-time statistics
• Focus periods
• Device activity patterns
• Digital wellness indicators
• Keystrokes entered within the Dotsin application
• Email subjects and sender information when you enable a supported email feature

Dotsin does not collect:

• Passwords

• Payment-card details

• Screenshots, unless a feature separately requests and discloses this access

• Complete browsing URLs solely for screen-time measurement; screen-time reports use website domains

• Content from unsupported websites

Dotsin may process content from supported services when you invoke a feature, capture a conversation, or enable an integration, as described below.

1.5 AI Feature Inputs

Dotsin offers AI-powered features that generate personalized insights, summaries, recommendations, analyses, and responses.

Depending on the feature used, Dotsin may process information intentionally provided or authorized by you, including:

• User-entered text
• Notes
• Questions
• Assessments
• Wellness information
• Journal entries
• Behavioral and activity information
• Other content intentionally submitted by you

This information is securely transmitted to Dotsin-controlled systems and processed only through Dotsin's proprietary Large Behavioural Model (LBM).

Dotsin does not transmit personal data to, or process personal data through, any third-party AI tool, model, or AI service. This includes direct identifiers such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, account identifiers, and other user-linked personal information.

Dotsin may use authorized cloud, infrastructure, storage, networking, security, authentication, analytics, and support providers to operate the Services. Such providers may process limited information on Dotsin's behalf only as necessary to provide their contracted services and are not authorized by Dotsin to use user information for their own independent AI inference, advertising, or model-training purposes.

1.6 Device and Technical Information

We may automatically collect:

• Device model
• Operating-system version
• Application version
• Device identifiers
• Error logs, crash information, and performance diagnostics

This information is used to maintain security, reliability, compatibility, and performance.

1.7 Dotsin Chrome Extension Data

Depending on the features used, the Dotsin Chrome extension may process:

• Dotsin account identifiers, including name, email address, and user ID
• AI conversation content you choose to capture or synchronize, including prompts, responses, summaries, tags, and attachments
• The domain of the active website and time spent on that domain for screen-time and digital-wellbeing reports
• Interaction and content metadata from supported services, such as media titles, URLs, viewing activity, email subjects and senders, or other information required to provide contextual recommendations
• Extension settings, enabled integrations, selected contexts, and locally stored preferences

Some extension settings are stored locally using browser storage. Information required for account synchronization, saved context, recommendations, screen-time reports, and requested features may be securely transmitted to Dotsin servers and stored with your account.

Dotsin does not sell Chrome extension data or use it for third-party advertising. You may stop extension data collection by signing out, disabling supported integrations, uninstalling the extension, or requesting deletion of your account and stored information.

Version 2.0.1 of the Dotsin Chrome extension does not access or collect LinkedIn cookies. It includes an optional, user-initiated LinkedIn profile preview and analysis feature, as described below.

1.8 LinkedIn Profile Preview and Analysis

The Dotsin Chrome extension includes an optional, user-initiated LinkedIn profile preview and compatibility analysis feature.

Data collected

When you open a LinkedIn profile and explicitly choose to analyze it, the extension may collect information visible on that selected profile page, including:

• Name and profile photo
• LinkedIn profile URL and username
• Headline and location
• About or summary information
• Publicly visible work experience
• Publicly visible education
• Publicly visible skills
• Publicly visible profile activity or posts, where available
• Other publicly visible profile information required to generate the requested analysis

How the data is collected

Collection begins only after you choose the profile-analysis feature and provide consent. The extension may use Chrome permissions, including activeTab, scripting, tabs, and debugger, to access, load, scroll through, and inspect visible sections of the profile you selected.

The debugger permission is used only during the user-initiated profile preview and analysis process. It helps the extension load and inspect visible profile sections required to generate the requested analysis.

How the data is used

The collected profile information is used only to:

• Generate the profile preview requested by you

• Generate compatibility, relevance, or relationship analysis

• Compare the selected profile with information, spaces, preferences, or context selected by you

• Display and save the requested analysis in your Dotsin account

• Maintain, secure, and improve this user-facing feature

Transmission and storage

Selected profile information may be securely transmitted over HTTPS to Dotsin-controlled servers for processing by Dotsin's proprietary LBM. Analysis results and associated profile information may be stored in your Dotsin account and may also be temporarily stored in the extension's local Chrome storage.

The analysis itself is not performed through a third-party AI tool, model, or AI service.

We retain this information only for as long as necessary to provide the requested functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. You may request deletion of stored profile information and analysis results using the contact information in this Privacy Policy.

What the extension does not collect

Version 2.0.1 of the Dotsin Chrome extension does not:

• Request the Chrome cookies permission

• Access, read, collect, transmit, or store LinkedIn cookies

• Access LinkedIn authentication tokens, including li_at or JSESSIONID cookies

• Collect LinkedIn passwords

• Access private LinkedIn messages

• Import LinkedIn connections through cookie-based access

• Begin LinkedIn profile collection automatically without you initiating the analysis

Consent and user controls

Before LinkedIn profile information is collected, the extension presents a disclosure explaining what visible profile information will be collected and how it will be used. You must take an affirmative action to consent and begin the analysis.

You may decline the analysis, close the preview, sign out of Dotsin, disable the relevant integration, remove locally stored extension data, uninstall the extension, or request deletion of information stored in your Dotsin account.

Sharing and sale of data

Dotsin does not sell LinkedIn profile information or use it for third-party advertising. Limited information may be processed by service providers supporting cloud hosting, authentication, analytics, security, customer support, and data synchronization. These providers are required to handle information securely and only according to Dotsin's instructions.

User personal data collected through this feature is not transmitted to third-party AI model providers for AI inference. AI-powered analysis is processed through Dotsin's proprietary LBM processing environment.

2. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

• Provide application functionality
• Create wellness insights
• Generate behavioral and activity summaries
• Deliver personalized experiences
• Synchronize user information
• Improve application performance
• Detect fraud and abuse

2.1 Legal Basis for Processing

Depending on the information, feature, and applicable law, we process information on one or more of the following bases:

3. Artificial Intelligence Processing

Dotsin provides AI-powered functionality through its proprietary Large Behavioural Model (LBM) processing environment.

The LBM may process information that a user submits, authorizes, or generates through use of Dotsin in order to provide requested functionality such as:

• Personalized insights
• Behavioral and activity summaries
• AI-powered conversations
• Recommendations
• Summaries
• User-requested analyses
• Productivity and routine insights
• Wellness and lifestyle insights
• Context-aware responses

Dotsin does not transmit users' personal data or personally identifiable information (PII) to third-party AI model providers for AI inference. User identity information and user-linked personal information remain within Dotsin's controlled processing environment for user-specific AI processing.

Dotsin may use third-party cloud and infrastructure technologies to host, secure, monitor, store, or operate components of the Services. These providers act as service processors on behalf of Dotsin and are not authorized by Dotsin to independently use Dotsin user information for advertising, independent AI inference, or training their own AI models.

AI-generated outputs are automated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate in certain situations. These outputs are provided for informational and personal-productivity purposes only.

Dotsin is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychiatric, psychological, diagnostic, treatment, legal, financial, or emergency services. Users should consult qualified professionals when making important decisions.

3.1 AI-Powered Personal Intelligence

Dotsin provides AI-powered behavioral insights using its proprietary Large Behavioural Model (LBM).

Depending on the permissions you grant, Dotsin may process:

• Information you voluntarily provide
• AI notes and conversations
• Behavioral activity summaries
• Productivity patterns
• Routine and movement summaries
• Device and application usage summaries
• Wellness information
• Other data sources you explicitly authorize

This information is processed through the LBM to identify behavioral relationships and generate personalized insights intended to help users understand productivity, habits, focus, routines, lifestyle patterns, and self-development.

Personal data and PII used for this user-specific processing are not transmitted to third-party AI model providers for AI inference.

Dotsin does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or healthcare recommendations. The application is intended for productivity enhancement, personal intelligence, behavioral understanding, wellness, and lifestyle insights.

User data is not provided to third-party AI providers for training their AI models. Where Dotsin uses aggregated or de-identified information for internal research, analytics, product improvement, or model development, such processing is performed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

4. Data Sharing

Dotsin does not sell personal information, including:

• Location information
• Health information
• Wellness information
• Usage information
• Profile information
• Behavioral information

We may share or permit processing of information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: We may use trusted vendors that assist with cloud hosting, storage, networking, authentication, analytics, security monitoring, customer support, communication services, and data synchronization. These providers process information on Dotsin's behalf only as necessary to provide their contracted services.

AI Processing: Dotsin does not transmit users' personal data or personally identifiable information to third-party AI model providers for AI inference. User-specific AI processing is performed through Dotsin's proprietary LBM processing environment.

Analytics Services: Dotsin may use analytics services such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar providers to understand application performance, reliability, usage trends, crash reports, and service quality.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, governmental request, or legal process.

Protection of Rights: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and protect platform security.

Where a third-party service provider processes user information on Dotsin's behalf, Dotsin requires the provider to apply appropriate confidentiality, security, and data-protection safeguards and to process information only for authorized purposes.

5. Third-Party Services and Integrations

Dotsin may utilize authorized third-party service providers to operate and support the Services, including providers for:

• Google Sign-In
• Apple Sign-In
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• DigitalOcean
• Apple Health
• Health Connect
• Google Fit
• Analytics and diagnostics
• Security and monitoring
• Customer support and communication services

These providers may process limited information as necessary to provide requested functionality or operate the Services, in accordance with their contractual obligations, applicable privacy requirements, and applicable law.

The use of third-party infrastructure or technology providers does not mean that Dotsin transmits user personal data or PII to their third-party AI model services for AI inference. User-specific AI processing is performed through Dotsin's proprietary LBM processing environment.

6. Data Storage and International Processing

Dotsin uses cloud infrastructure providers including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and DigitalOcean.

For users located in India, primary application databases may be hosted in India using infrastructure provided by Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and/or DigitalOcean.

Certain limited information may be processed outside India when necessary to operate authorized third-party services such as authentication, security, analytics, infrastructure management, customer support, communication systems, or other operational services.

Dotsin does not transmit users' personal data or PII to third-party AI model providers for AI inference as part of its user-specific AI processing.

Dotsin implements reasonable contractual, administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information regardless of processing location.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to:

• Provide the Services
• Fulfill legal obligations
• Resolve disputes
• Enforce agreements
• Maintain security and platform operations

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and applicable legal requirements. Information may be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer required, unless continued retention is permitted or required by law.

8. User Rights and Controls

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may:

• Access your information
• Update account information
• Revoke permissions
• Disable location access
• Disable background access
• Disconnect health integrations
• Disable notifications
• Request deletion of personal information
• Delete your account

Chrome extension users may also:

• Sign out to stop authenticated synchronization

• Enable or disable available service integrations

• Delete saved Dots and context

• Uninstall the extension to stop local extension processing

• Request deletion of synchronized extension data and their Dotsin account

You may delete your account through the application settings or contact support@dotsin.ai. Following a valid deletion request, personal information will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period unless retention is required or permitted for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.

9. Notifications

Dotsin may send notifications concerning:

• Account activity
• Synchronization status
• Wellness insights
• Platform updates
• Security alerts
• Important service messages

You may disable optional notifications through your device settings.

10. Security

Dotsin uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information against:

• Unauthorized access
• Unauthorized disclosure
• Misuse
• Loss
• Alteration
• Destruction

No security system can guarantee absolute security.

11. Children's Privacy

Dotsin does not knowingly collect personal information from children except where permitted by law and appropriately authorized by a parent, guardian, educational institution, or other authorized entity.

If we become aware that information was collected in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

12. Apple Health Disclosure

Health information obtained through Apple Health is used solely to provide health, wellness, behavioral, and activity-related functionality requested by the user.

Apple Health information is not used for advertising, marketing, or data-brokerage purposes and is not shared with third-party AI tools, models, or AI services.

13. Health Connect and Google Fit Disclosure

Health information obtained through Health Connect, Google Fit, or similar Android health platforms is used solely for wellness, activity, behavioral, and application functionality requested by the user.

This health information is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with third-party AI tools, models, or AI services.

14. Google API Services & OAuth Limited Use Disclosure

Dotsin's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you connect your Google Account with Dotsin, the application requests access to authorized Google services only to provide features directly requested by you:

• Google Calendar: Used exclusively for user-initiated scheduling, including creating and managing Pioneer Guild Sync Rooms, generating calendar events with Google Meet conferencing links, milestone deadline synchronization, and schedule reminders. Dotsin does not delete calendars, alter calendar sharing permissions, or access calendars unrelated to user-scheduled activities.

• YouTube API Services: Used exclusively for user-authorized cohort and hackathon project demo workflows, including uploading user-submitted showcase and pitch videos (youtube.upload), viewing upload processing status and video metadata (youtube.readonly), and organizing project showcase media under user direction. Dotsin does not access, modify, or delete unrelated channel content or private videos without explicit user direction.

Limited Use and AI Training Protections:

• Google user data obtained via Google APIs is used solely to provide and improve user-facing features prominent in Dotsin's interface.

• Dotsin does NOT use Google user data to train, retrain, fine-tune, or improve generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.

• Google user data is not sold, leased, or traded to third parties or data brokers.

• Google user data is never used for serving advertisements, including personalized, re-targeted, or interest-based ads.

• Human access to Google user data is strictly prohibited, except with your affirmative consent for technical troubleshooting, when necessary for security or fraud prevention, or to comply with applicable law.

You may revoke Dotsin's access to your Google Account at any time via your Google Security Settings (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions) or through the integrations menu in Dotsin.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent before a material change takes effect. Otherwise, continued use of Dotsin after an update takes effect constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Privacy Policy.

By accessing or using Dotsin, users acknowledge that they have read and understood this Privacy Policy and acknowledge the collection, processing, use, storage, and sharing of information as described herein and as permitted by applicable law.

Where a feature requires a separate device permission, integration authorization, or other specific consent, Dotsin will request that permission or authorization through the applicable user interface or operating-system mechanism.

Users may decline optional processing, manage or revoke permissions through Dotsin and device settings, and request deletion of their account and associated personal information as described above.
